Use of the App

DC Metro Tracker is provided to help you view Washington Metro station and train departure information. You may use the app only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, attempt to access systems or data without authorization, or use the app in a way that could harm other users, the app, or related services.

Transit Information

The app displays transit data from public transit data sources. While the app aims to provide useful and timely information, transit data may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate.

You are responsible for confirming important travel details and making safe travel decisions. Do not rely on the app as your only source for time-sensitive, safety-related, emergency, or accessibility-critical information.

No Affiliation

DC Metro Tracker is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Names, routes, station information, and related transit references are used for identification and informational purposes.

Availability and Changes

The app is provided as a free service and may change over time. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, including features, data sources, or availability.

We are not responsible for interruptions, delays, data source changes, network issues, device issues, or other events outside our reasonable control.

Metro Pro Subscription and Usage Limits

DC Metro Tracker Pro ("Metro Pro") is an optional paid subscription that may unlock features such as scheduled commute views, Lock Screen train times, personalized Metro alerts, ad-free use, and other Pro features made available in the app.

Metro Pro may be offered as an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store or another applicable app marketplace. The subscription period, price, trial details, renewal terms, and other purchase details will be shown before you confirm purchase. Unless you cancel before the end of the current trial or billing period, your subscription will automatically renew and your account will be charged for the next period. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

If Metro Pro is described in the app, App Store listing, or promotional materials as offering "unlimited" commutes or schedules, that use is still subject to technical, reliability, and fair-use limits. Current Metro Pro limits are 20 saved commutes and 10 schedules per saved commute. These limits apply even where a feature is described as "unlimited."

We may adjust Metro Pro feature limits from time to time to protect reliability, control costs, comply with platform or data-provider requirements, prevent abuse, or support new product behavior. If we materially reduce paid features, we will provide notice where required by applicable law or marketplace rules.

Privacy

Your use of the app is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what information the app collects and how that information is used.

Intellectual Property

The app, including its design, interface, text, organization, and code, is owned by Daniel Tome or used with permission, except for third-party content and public transit data. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law.

Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party services, including services that provide transit data, backend functionality, analytics, distribution, or operating system features. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

Disclaimer of Warranties

DC Metro Tracker is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or accurate, or that transit information will always be current or available.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Daniel Tome will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, use, profits, travel time, or other losses arising from or related to your use of the app.

Apple App Store

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, these Terms apply in addition to Apple's applicable terms, including Apple's Standard EULA and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, unless Apple or App Store Connect indicates that a different license applies. Daniel Tome, not Apple, is responsible for maintenance and support for the app.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
